In 2002, the undergraduate major of Management Science began to recruit students.

In 2003, the Ph. D program of Management Science and Engineering and the master program of Computer Application Technology were approved.

In 2005, the Research Center of E-commerce Engineering Technology in Jiangxi Province was established.

In 2006, the master program of Computer Software and Theory was approved; the Key Lab of Data and Knowledge Engineering inJiangxiProvincewas established.

In 2007, the post-doctoral station of Management Science and Engineering was established.

In 2008, the discipline of Management Science and Engineering was approved as the most important discipline inJiangxiProvince.

In 2009, the major of Information Management and Information System was approved as the first class national featured major; the innovation team of Data Engineering and Digital Media was approved as the most important science and technology innovation team in Jiangxi Province; the innovation team of Web Cross Media Search and Business Intelligence was approved as the science and technology innovation team in Jiangxi Province; the school gained the title of Advanced Group in National Education System.

In 2010, the teaching team of series courses in information systems was approved as the national teaching team; the discipline of management science and engineering was approved as the high-level discipline inJiangxiProvince; the master program of computer science and technology and the engineering master programs were approved.

In 2011, the sub-doctoral programs of Service Computing and Applications and Quantitative Economics were approved. Applied Economics including its sub-discipline of Quantitative Economics was approved as the high level discipline inJiangxiProvince.

In 2012, the High Level Engineering Center of E-commerce and the Research Center of Public Security Video Technology inJiangxiprovince were established.

In 2013, the Key Lab of Digital Media inJiangxiprovince was established; the program "Excellent Engineer" ofJiangxiprovince for the major of Computer Science and Technology was approved.
