There are 105 teaching and administrative staffs in the school which includes 94 fulltime teachers and 11 administrative staffs. Among the teachers, there are 22 professors, 32 associate professors, 13 doctoral supervisors, 42 master’s supervisors and 57 doctors. Currently, there are 1111 students, including 650 undergraduate students, 411 graduate students and 50 Ph. D candidates.

There are one post-doctor research station of Management Science and Engineering and 2 Ph. D programs in the school, including Management Science and Engineering (4 directions: Information Management and Information System, E-Commerce and E-Government, Economic Management Decision Making and Analysis, and Service Computing and Application) and Quantitative Economics. Also, there are 3 academic master programs, including Management Science and Engineering, Computer Science and Technology and Quantitative Economics, and 3 engineering master programs, including Computer Technology, Logistics Engineering and Project Management.

There are 4 undergraduate programs, including Information Management and Information System, Computer Science and Technology, Information and Computing Science, and Management Science, among which, Information Management and Information System is the first class national featured major.  The school has 2 national level teaching teams named Management Decision and Decision Support and Information System Series Courses, 4 national exquisite courses named Operations Research, Database System and Application, Information System Analysis and Design, Decision Making Theory and Method, as well as a national bilingual teaching demonstration course named Object Oriented Programming.

There are 4 departments in the school, including Department of Information Management, Department of Computer Science and Technology, Department of Mathematics and Quantitative Economics, Department of Mathematics and Management Decision Making, and an experiment teaching center. It has several provincial level research institutions and innovative teams, including: E-Commerce Engineering Technology Research Center in Jiangxi Province, E-Commerce High Level Engineering Research Center in Jiangxi Province, Key Laboratory for Digital Media in Jiangxi Province, Key Laboratory for Data and Knowledge Engineering in of Jiangxi Province, Research Center for Public Security Video Technology in Jiangxi Province, First Outstanding Science and Technology Innovation Team for Data Engineering and Digital Media in Jiangxi Province, Science and Technology Innovation Team for Web Cross Media Searching and Business Intelligence in of Jiangxi Province. The school also has Research Institution for Information Resource Management, Research Institution for Quantitative Economics, Research Institution for Operation and Supply Chain Management, Research Institution for Financial Mathematics and Actuarial Science, Research Institution for Digital Media, Research Institution for Intelligent Information Processing, Research Institution for Computer Network Technology and Engineering, Innovation Team for Image Processing and Intelligent Information Processing, Innovation Team for Supply Chain Management and Logistics Engineering, as well as Innovation Team for Network Application and Safety.

In the school, 100 National Natural Science Fund projects, 17 National Social Science Fund projects and more than 180 provincial and ministerial-level projects have been approved. One third-prize of National Award of Scientific and Technological Advancement is awarded. More than 20 Provincial and Ministerial Level Awards are gained by out staffs, which includes Jiangxi Natural Science Awards, Jiangxi Scientific and Technological Advancement, etc. More than 300 papers have been published on important journals and conferences, of which, more than 70 papers have been indexed by SCI, more than 300 papers indexed by EI. And also, more than 40 books have been published.

The school has held close academic relationship with the universities and research institutes from the USA, Canada, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, Austria, UK, Australia, South Korea, Japan, and Hong Kong, etc. More than 20 staffs have visited abroad.
