Resume:

         Changxuan Wan, male, was born in July, 1962 in Xinjian, Jiangxi Province. He is a Ph.D., professor, and Ph.D. supervisor. He is a recipient of special allowance of State Council, and a member of Jiangxi "GanPo Excellence 555 Program―Leading Talent Cultivation Plan" (Batch 1). He was honored with a Young-and-middle-aged Discipline Leader of Jiangxi College.

         He leads a Jiangxi Provincial 12th Five-year Plan Key Discipline of Computer Science and Technology, a Jiangxi Provincial Innovation Team of "Data Engineering and Digital Media" Innovation Team. He is the director of Jiangxi Key Laboratory of Data and Knowledge Engineering, and the chief professor of computer science and technology in Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics.

         Professor Wan is the director of a National Excellent Resources Sharing course ― "Database Systems and Applications", and a National Great Course with the same title. He is in charge of a National Specially Major ― "Information Management and Information System", and a core member of the National Teaching Team of "Management Decision and Decision Support Teaching Team" and "Information Systems Series Courses Teaching Team". He has won a second prize of the 6th Higher Education National Teaching Achievement Award, two first prizes three second prizes of provincial Excellent Teaching Achievement Award, and two first prizes of provincial College Excellent Textbook Award.

         Professor Wan was director of several National Natural Science Foundation Project and National Social Science Foundation Project. He is the author of several textbooks such as "XML Database Technology (1st edition and 2nd edition)", "Database System Principles and Design (1st and 2nd edition)", "C Language and Programming Methods (1st and 2nd edition) ", and so on. Among the others, the "Database System Theory and Design" textbook was selected as a 12th Five-year National Planning Textbook. He has published more than 30 papers in IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering, Information Sciences, Journal of Computer Science and Technology, The Chinese Journal of Computers, The Chinese Journal of Software, Journal of Computer Research and Development, ACM CIKM, etc. He received three first prize sand two second prizes of Jiangxi College Science and Technology Achievement Award, and a third prize of Jiangxi Natural Science Award.

         Professor Wan was named a Jiangxi Young Scientist in 2004. In 2006, he was selected in Jiangxi New Century Talents Project, and named a Jiangxi College Distinguished Teacher Award. He received the provincial 10th-Five Plan Outstanding Graduate Student Instructor Award in 2006, and was recognized as a Provincial Model Teacher in 2009. In 2011, he was nominated as a National Universities Distinguished Teacher candidate.

         Prof Wan is a committee member of MOE (Ministry of Education) Teaching Committee of Management Science and Engineering Major, a senior member of China Computer Federation (CCF), a committee member of CCF Database Society (CCF-DBS), standing director of China Management Science and Engineering Society, and vice chairman of Jiangxi Computer Society.

         Dr. Wan has served as Program Committee (PC) members of China National Database Conference (NDBC) 2007 - 2014, PC co-chairman of NDBC 2009, and PC co-chairman of the International E-commerce and E-government Management Conferences (ICMeCG) 2008 ~ 2011, co-chairman of ICMeCG 2012 - 2014, chairman of the Organizing Committee of 18th International Conference on Information Systems Development (ISD) 2009.



Education:

Prof Changxuan Wan received a B.S. degree in Computational Mathematics from Wuhan University in 1984. He received M.S. degree in Hydraulics and River Dynamics from Former Wuhan University of Hydraulic and Electric Hydraulics in 1989, and a Ph.D from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2003.


 Work Experience:

He worked as a teacher in former Wuhan University of Hydraulic and Electric (now merged with Wuhan University) in Jul. 1984 - Sep. 1986. From Jul. 1989.7, he worked in Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics.
