报告主题1： Games with Information Asymmetry: Information Transparency, Contracts and Auctions in Procurements

报告摘要：

In the era of E-commerce, the challenges of tackling information asymmetry and strategic use of private information are becoming more conspicuous and crucial. In general, because of more possibilities of information exchange and emerging E-business mode, all kinds of complicated problems containing both adverse selection and moral hazard are emerging. This talk is going to introduce a few instruments: information sharing, mechanism design, signaling and information design, mitigating the hazard of information asymmetry or taking advantage of private information. Besides, we raise a few research questions in various procurement scenarios. What is the basic relationship between vertical information asymmetry and horizontal information asymmetry? Why would the firms open their high technology for free? How to auction IT sourcing contract in the presence of renegotiation?
