Huang Yukun and Liu Xiping won the first prize at the 4th China Computer Education Conference

On April 21st, the 4th China Computer Education Conference (CECC) with the theme "New Era, New Challenges, New Tasks" was held at the Xiamen International Conference Center.

The course case "Parallel and Distributed Computing - MapReduce Implementation of Classic Data Processing and Mining Algorithms" by Huang Yukun and Liu Xiping, faculty members from the School of Information Management, won the first prize in the "Excellent Course Supporting Resources and Excellent Teaching Case in the Computer Category" at the 4th China Computer Education Conference.

        The conference was jointly organized by the Teaching Guidance Committee for Computer Majors in Higher Education Institutions under the Ministry of Education, the Teaching Guidance Committee for Software Engineering Majors in Higher Education Institutions under the Ministry of Education, the Teaching Guidance Committee for Network Space Security Majors in Higher Education Institutions under the Ministry of Education, and the Teaching Guidance Committee for University Computer Courses in Higher Education Institutions under the Ministry of Education. Over 100 leaders and experts from the national academic, educational, and industrial sectors in computer science presented authoritative reports and discussed cutting-edge trends, exploring the new connotations of information technology disciplines in the new era. The conference aimed to implement the guidance principles of integrating ideological and political education into professional courses, explore the construction of core curriculum systems and teaching reform methods in computer majors, and contribute to the cultivation of high-quality computer science and technology talents in the new era at universities.
