Best Paper at the "China Higher Education Computer Education Conference".

The 2023 China Higher Education Computer Education Conference was held in Xiamen. The paper titled "Problem-Solving Oriented Hybrid Teaching Model - Cultivating Computer System Competence in a Humanities Background" (Authors: Professor Liu Dexi, Qiu Baolin, Di Guoqiang, Jiang Jian, Wan Qizhi) from the School of Information Management stood out among 388 paper submissions and was awarded the Best Paper.

During the conference, Professor Liu Dexi presented and delivered an excellent report on the paper. The paper focuses on the requirements of computer system competence and explores teaching models for computer system courses in a humanities background with limited class hours and insufficient hardware experiments. It adopts a problem-solving approach to cultivate analytical and problem-solving abilities, reducing reliance on hardware experimental conditions. The paper organizes and designs teaching content and problems that span multiple computer system courses, enabling students to learn from a higher perspective of computer systems. It fully utilizes online environments to stimulate student initiative and reduce dependence on traditional classroom teaching and extensive class hours. Effective teaching activities and evaluation mechanisms are implemented to ensure student-centered and personalized teaching concepts. This paper provides valuable insights for promoting the reform of digital literacy courses and the development of new humanities disciplines at Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics.

The 2023 China Higher Education Computer Education Conference was organized by the China Computer Education Research Association, the China Computer Federation (CCF), and the Higher Education Computer Professional Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education. Xiamen University and the CCF Education Committee served as the hosts. Over 300 deans, department heads, and academic leaders from computer science departments of universities nationwide, as well as over 700 outstanding teachers from computer-related disciplines, attended the conference.
