Object-oriented Programming

Object-oriented Programming (bilingual) is the main course for the majors Computer Science and Technology, Information Management and Information System, and Information and Computing Science, etc. In 2009, it was approved as the provincial level excellent course. In 2010, it was approved as the state level bilingual teaching demonstration course.

On the basis of mastering basic programming thought, this course focally cultivates students' abilities of program analysis and design by flexibly using object-oriented thought and method, so as to make good preparation for further studying visible object oriented development tools. It plays an irreplaceable role in cultivating students' object oriented thought, even computational thinking; At the same time, it is a practical course, which requires the close combination of classroom teaching and experimental teaching. Through simultaneous computer experiment, students can deeply comprehend the functions and roles of object-oriented language, understand compiling and running mechanism of program, and deepen the cognition to the nature of object-oriented language.

   The course chooses the foreign classic textbooks and adopts bilingual teaching mode. It not only focuses on studying of professional knowledge, but also focuses on improvement of English application ability. It highlights characteristics of fundamentality, practicalness, comprehensiveness, and innovativeness, brings forth new ideas to teaching method and measures, sets bilingual teaching situation, designs progressive experiment modules, fuses knowledge transference, ability cultivation and quality improvement together through bidirectional penetration of professional knowledge study and English study, and devotes itself to cultivate application-oriented talents with international view and competitiveness.
